South of Liberia, not far from the town of Bagaces, you will find one of the most photogenic waterfalls in the region. Llanos de Cortés is wide rather than tall, and the water falls like a curtain into a big natural pool with a small sandy beach at its edge.
You can swim, stand behind the falling water, or simply sit on the sand and enjoy the view. The walk from the parking area is short, which makes it a great stop for families.
